This article [J. Appl. Remote Sens. 9(1), 096057 (May 07, 2015)] contained an error in the depiction of Eq. 3, in which the square root symbol is not covering all of the appropriate terms. The correct form of the equation is shown below: Eq. (3) $MSAVI = \frac{2 ρ NIR + 1 - \sqrt{{(2 ρ NIR + 1)}^{2} - 8 (ρ NIR - ρ red)}}{2},$ All online versions of the article were corrected on 17 June 2015.
