Dr. Jose M Peña is a Scientist at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of CSIC and co-director of the tec4AGRO research group (https://tec4agro.csic.es). His research focuses on the development and validation of geospatial technologies and digitization tools for precision agriculture and integrated pest management (IPM), with the aim of proposing new strategies to optimize crop protection and production for achieving more sustainable agricultural systems. He have participated in 20 research projects, which have resulted in the publication of about 100 SCI and outreach articles, 10 book chapters and 120 conference contributions. He is honored to have received several distinctions, such as the Fulbright scholarship and the "Pierre C. Robert" award from the International Society of Precision Agriculture.
