Abstract

Annealing of preheated Si-samples by Nd:YAG laser is described. A Nd:YAG laser device with and without acousto-optical Q-switching for trimming, scribing, marking, drilling and medical purposes was used. The development of a portable LiNdLa-phosphate glass laser resulting in 6 % efficiency, Q-switched by LiF with F₂color centers is discussed together with some of its applications.
