Abstract
Light often has wider range of incident light angles for many space optical systems owning scanning parts. Omnidirectional reflection is urgently needed. Hybrid structures combining silver and one-dimensional dielectric lattice are studied. It is shown that such structure can improve the omnidirectional reflection characteristic with the proper physical parameters of the silver. The reflectance of the structure is higher than 99.999% for both p-polarization and s-polarization light at the wavelength of 660nm. To the best of our knowledge there are no previous theoretical works that reported the same good result.
