Abstract
Gas insulated equipment has the advantages of small size and easy maintenance, and has been widely used in China's power system. However, the internal space of the equipment is narrow and the bonding structure is compact. The internal insulation problem is easy to bring great hidden dangers to the safe operation of the equipment. In this paper, three typical defect discharges in switchgear were simulated. The whole process of internal discharge development was measured by multi-spectral sensor. The multi-spectral parameters characterizing the discharge development process were extracted. Based on the above characteristic parameters, the judgment basis for characterizing the development of discharge to the pre-breakdown stage is proposed.
