Abstract
With the demand for satellite communication in Chinese and abroad markets, the satcom-on-the-move (SOTM) based on ships, vehicles, airplanes, and other applications has gradually moved from the military field to military-civilian integration. Satcom-on-the-move can realize the real-time alignment with the target satellite in the inertial space through the gyro-stabilized platform and servo control according to its own position and carrier move information, and ensure the smooth uplink and downlink of satellite communication. This paper mainly reviews the system composition of the satcom-on-the-move, the impact of gyro drift, and beacon maximum tracking. A gyro drift compensation method based on beacon feedback is designed, and the effectiveness of the method is verified through testing. This method effectively improves the ability of the satcom-on-the-move to recover instantly after losing the lock.
