Abstract
Spurious mode generation at the same fre- quency of the operational mode in a high powergyrotron can significantly reduce the powerhandling capability and the stability of a gy- rotron oscillator because these mode are usu- ally not matched at the output window andthus have high absorption and reflection rates.
