Abstract
Within the framework of transmitter induced cyclostationarity, we propose to analyze a new scheme called the repetition-modulation (RM) scheme, which is a mixture of ideas proposed by Tsatsanis and Giannakis on the one hand, Chevreuil and Loubaton on the other hand. The transformation at the emitter is such that the receiver has the structure of a two-sensor model, in which the two FIR entries are, in the frequency domain, shifted by a parameter (alpha) . This key property is shown to make possible the blind identification of the unknown channel. A subspace-like method is posed, and the statistical performance computed. Apart from this aspect, the capacity of the system is given in a closed-form as a function of (alpha) , and it is shown that, for a large range of this parameter, the capacity of the RM is close to the one of the standard system.
