Abstract
The fiber loop mirror constructed from a low-birefringent twisted fiber was numerically examined. The non-linear ellipse rotation effect have been included in the consideration. We have shown, that in this configuration the nonlinear variation of the transmission coefficient is possible even with a 0.5/0.5 coupler. By appropriate choice of the fiber twist, birefringence, and length, variety of different characteristics of the interferometer can be achieved. Some of the configurations manifest polarization independent operation.
