Abstract
Evolution of the orientation distribution function inside individual grains has been examined by local X-ray technique. The material studied was aluminum polycrystal with a mean grain size about 0.5 mm. It was shown that existing theoretical models can not predict reorientation of the grains examined. This is due to the fact that a local grain neighborhood effects stronger than an initial grain orientation on grain rotation. The strong orientation spread occurs inside the grains. The observed regularities of the spread are interpreted in the terms of grains subdivision by dislocation boundaries.
