Abstract
With the proliferation of multimedia information on the network, automatic rating of web pages becomes more and more important for web management. Obviously image analysis is very important in these kinds of tasks. But to our best knowledge, there are no publications reported on it. In this paper, we propose a novel framework to rate webpage using image content analysis. The rated categories are in compliance with the standard utilized by most web browsers like Internet Explorer, which include Normal, Revealing Attire, Exposed Breasts and Bare Buttocks. To make the rating work feasible, we analyze the images mainly using skin detection and body region, and face detection is also used as guidance for the detection of skin and body region. After that, all the results of image content analysis are integrated to achieve content rating results for web pages. We tested our system on two data sets and demonstrated its effectiveness.
