Abstract
The current papers have addressed the issue of synchronization in communication systems. In this paper, a method of code-aided carrier synchronization is proposed, which is based on LDPC-Hadamard code at extremely low signal-tonoise ratios (SNR) .This system consists of two parts: a low-rate LDPC-Hadamard code that is close to Shannon limit at extremely low SNR and an EM-based carrier synchronizer that makes use of the posterior probabilities of the data symbols provided by the iterative decoder. Performance of the proposed synchronizer has been illustrated by simulations in terms of the BER and the root-mean-square-error (RMSE). Simulation results show that the RMSE of the parameters performs very close to the modified Cramer-Rao bound.
