Abstract
Most of the optical windows of photoelectric equipments have strong reflecting characteristics for the incident laser beam, which is known as ‘cat’s eye’ effect. To decrease the ‘cat’s eye’ effect intensity, the evaluated index —Laser Cross Section (LCS) suitable for ‘cat’s eye’ targets is deduced and analyzed. And two methods for the stealth of photoelectric equipments are proposed. The one is based on the optical activity of liquid crystal and the other employs the magneto-optical rotation crystal. By contrastively analyzing the two methods, the later one is proven to be the most effective approach to reduce LCS for undetectable. And the stealth effect is conducted via outfield experiment. The result shows that proposed approaches are validity for restricting the detecting and positioning from active laser detection system for stealth of ‘cat’s eye’ targets.
