A method is proposed for measuring the focal length of microlenses based on the propagation properties of a Gaussian beam. The beam waist is measured before and after the beam passes through the microlens. Experimental results were obtained by measuring a microlens formed by the drawing method. The results obtained are compared with those from other methods and differ by less than 10%.
