Dr. Aiko Narazaki is a Principal Research Manager and Leader of Innovative Laser Processing group in National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). Her main fields cover from ultrafast laser processing of various materials such as glasses and ceramics, Laser-Induced Forward Transfer (LIFT) of nano- and biomaterials, and so forth. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Material Chemistry from Kyoto University in Japan. Then, she got her Ph.D. in Engineering from Kyoto University in March, 2000. Her doctoral thesis is related to the optical second-order nonlinearity of poled glasses. She is now focusing on the data-driven laser processing, where high modulation laser machining with in-process monitoring and AI leads to the next-generation level of high productivity and quality.
