In this paper, we seek to study the impact of subbanding on blind source separation (BSS) as it could apply to radar and
audio signals. We will focus on comparing wavelet-based subbanding, uniform subbanding, and no subbanding. For
performing the BSS, we will use two common algorithms: joint approximate diagonalization of eigen-matrices (JADE)
[4] and second-order blind identification (SOBI) [6]. As the measure of performance, we will use the interference to
signal ratio.
