Abstract
With the continuous expansion of the size of the city and the increasing traffic volume, the traditional roundabout traffic organization model can not meet the requirements of the crossing capacity. At present, some roundabouts have traffic jams and frequent traffic accidents. Based on the field investigation of the roundabout between Huaguang Avenue and Tushan Road in Lucheng City, this paper analyzes the problem, puts forward three optimization measures, puts forward the optimization idea and improvement strategy of the intersection from the perspective of organization drainage, and uses traffic simulation software to take the travel time and pass capacity of the intersection as the optimization target, and the results show the feasibility and efficiency of this kind of transformation design idea.
