Abstract
The Loess Plateau has become one of the most serious areas of soil erosion and the most fragile ecological environment in the world. Its natural environment determines the various types of soil erosion and its causes are complicated. This paper summarizes the previous studies, expounds the progress of soil and water conservation in the Loess Plateau area, and systematically summarizes the related measures of soil and water loss control in the Loess Plateau, including engineering control measures, biological control measures and tillage measures. At the same time, the problems existing in the present stage and the key research directions in the next stage are put forward in order to provide a theoretical basis for better protection and improvement of soil and water resources in the Loess Plateau.
