Abstract
Good flexibility is an important guarantee of the improvement of university students' physical health and sports performance, and scientific methods of physical monitoring and analysis are a prerequisite for problem identification. In this study, data of the sit and reach test and Functional Movement Screen (FMS) test were collected from a sample of 112 university students through videos without marks, and eight data items were analyzed and processed using the functional movement screen test, the paired t-test and bivariate Spearman's correlation analysis in SPSS software. The results showed that ten weeks of functional training significantly improved university students' flexibility test scores, and that sit and reach movements correlated significantly with active straight leg raises and deep squats. The study helps develop individualized training programs to improve flexibility using the FMS test, with reference significance for reducing the risk of sports injuries and improving physical fitness in practice.
