Abstract
With the continuous development of science and technology and economic level, the speed of product renewal is accelerating and market competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Reverse design is an effective way to solve this problem. In the traditional forward design process, a 3D model is created by CAD software, then the model is imported to a 3D printer to print out solid parts, and then the final product is obtained through assembly. This process often takes a lot of time and is prone to errors, resulting in a very complex product development process. Reverse design is different, it can start directly from the existing physical or semi-finished products, use computer-aided means to complete the modeling and simulation analysis, and generate the corresponding CNC code file, and finally use CNC machine tools to manufacture the product. This greatly reduces the time required for product development and improves production efficiency, while also avoiding the waste of resources and unnecessary losses caused by repeated trial and error. Therefore, reverse design has become one of the important R&D tools for modern manufacturing industry.
