Abstract
The rational scheduling of AGVs is conducive to the safe and efficient operation of automated container terminals. A dynamic scheduling method is proposed for the scheduling problem of AGVs in automated container terminals, considering the abnormal conditions that may occur during AGV operations. To minimize the total energy consumption of AGV operation, an optimization model is established based on the pre-optimization concept followed by dynamic adjustment. In the pre-optimization stage, the initial scheduling scheme is obtained by designing an adaptive genetic algorithm that considers both import/export container operation and the influence of the QCs and the YCs on the AGV operation. In the dynamic adjustment stage, the rescheduling strategy and related constraints are determined to readjust the scheduling scheme of the AGV, according to the different impacts generated by dynamic events. The effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithm is verified by comparing and analyzing various scales of arithmetic cases. The example analysis demonstrates that the proposed dynamic scheduling method can respond promptly to the occurrence of dynamic events, such as abnormal AGV behavior, and better meet the actual operational requirements of the terminal.
