Abstract
The construction of three-dimensional models of buildings is a significant aspect of smart city development. This paper focuses on achieving high-precision fusion of outdoor three-dimensional models and indoor BIM (Building Information Modeling) models of buildings. To accomplish this, a technical process and method for the geometric space registration of indoor and outdoor three-dimensional models of buildings are proposed, utilizing the fusion of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) oblique photography and BIM models. Additionally, a three-dimensional space similarity transformation module is developed using the open-source secondary development tool, Skyline. The experiments conducted demonstrate that the proposed method enables automatic geometric registration of the UAV oblique photography building outdoor three-dimensional model and BIM indoor three-dimensional building model. This approach overcomes the limitations of traditional indoor and outdoor three-dimensional model fusion, which lacked an automatic and high-precision geometric registration method.
