Abstract
A new type of pneumatic magnetic separator is designed in this study. The Dry Magnetic Separation Process (DMSP) is enhanced by introducing a horizontal airflow in the opposite direction to the magnetic force, and the recovery of aim minerals in the intergrowth particles is ensured by setting three recovery zones. The optimal structural parameters are determined by simulating and calculating the magnetic field and flow field characteristics. Based on the tracking calculation of different particle motion states through multi-physical field coupling, the optimal matching scheme of the magnetic field and flow field is determined, and the separation effect is predicted. Hope this design provides a novel and feasible idea for the development of high-efficiency dry magnetic equipment.
