Abstract
This paper aims to research the feature extraction method for bearing faults based on the wavelet packet algorithm. Rolling bearings, as crucial components of rotating machinery, play a vital role in diagnosing faults to enhance the reliability of such machinery. With the development of artificial intelligence technology, the wavelet packet algorithm has gradually demonstrated its significance in industrial production. In this study, the wavelet packet algorithm is applied to extract features from bearing fault signals, and different types of fault signals (such as inner race faults, rolling element faults, and outer race faults) are analyzed in detail. By extracting energy values, significant changes in energy spectra between normal and abnormal signals can be effectively identified. This wavelet packet energy spectrum-based bearing fault detection method overcomes the limitations of single singular point for bearing fault detection and validates the effectiveness of wavelet packet energy spectrum as a feature to distinguish normal signals from fault signals. The obtained feature values also provide beneficial data analysis basis for further fault detection, offering practical significance and application value in bearing fault prediction and maintenance.
