Abstract
In order study and determine the better traffic organization mode of double-decker highway, and make up for the lack of actual scenarios, the simulation approach is applied. Firstly, according to the basic conditions of the highway, the upper is passenger car type, the lower is passenger and freight mixing type, and the upper and lower are passenger and freight mixing type are selected. The harmonic average speed and time to collision (TTC) are selected as the efficiency and safety indicators, and give the detailed calculation formula. What’s more, combined with the actual road structure and parameters, the simulation model is built by using the simulation of urban mobility (SUMO) software, and set the parameters. Finally, each traffic organization mode is simulated, and collected the corresponding data to compute the indexes. Conclusions can be drawn through analysis, although there are some shortcomings in the traffic organization mode 1, it has advantages in traffic efficiency and traffic flow stability.
