Abstract
Disc suspension insulators are common equipment in power transmission and distribution systems, and may be invaded by various foreign objects during long-term operation, leading to equipment failures and power accidents. In order to improve the detection effect and efficiency of foreign objects in disc suspension insulators, a real-time semantic segmentation based infrared detection method for foreign objects in disc suspension insulators is proposed. By using an infrared thermal imager, infrared images of disc suspension insulators are collected, and the grayscale values of the infrared images of disc suspension insulators are calculated for denoising, and foreign object features of disc suspension insulators are extracted. On this basis, based on real-time semantic segmentation technology, infrared detection of foreign objects in disc suspension insulators is achieved. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good infrared detection performance for foreign objects in disc suspension insulators, and can effectively improve the infrared detection efficiency of foreign objects in disc suspension insulators.
