Abstract
As major applications for millimeter and sub- millimeter electromagnetic waves have developedthere has arisen a need for instruments which willallow measurements to be made of the powercarried by free-space propagating beams and of theenergy carried in short pulses. Such instrumentsshould be calibrated absolutely and re-calibrationshould be a straightforward matter. This paperwill report on the power and energy meters wehave developed for the 60-900 GHz range.
