Abstract
The aim of this work Is to recieve expressions, required fordesign of transitions between quasi-optical waveguldes of theclass of "hollow dielectric channel" (DC-waveguide), inparticular, between DC-wavpguides of same type, having differentsizes of cross-sectIon. Parameter characterlsinp; type ofboundary of DC-waveguldts, is introduced to receive mentionedformulae. Proposed way allows to recieve In analytical form theexpressions for relative amplitudes of unwanted waves, arising inthe result of scatterInw, of fundamental mode by finite waveguidepart of vpried section, being used as quasi-optical transition.Received formulae allow to calculate transitions with differentforms and to study the possibility of optimization of transitionsby minimum of the losses at the transformation of fundamentalmode into unwanted ones. Circular and rectangular taperedtransi t lns with different type of boundary s truc Lures areconsidered as specific examples.
