Abstract
A TEA-CO2 pulsed laser was used to study the infrared multiphoton absorption of protonated and deuterated trichloroethylene (C2HCl3; C2DCl3). The dependence of the cross section and the average number of photons absorbed per molecule, on laser fluence and laser frequency, for different pressures of gas, was studied.
