Abstract
Rotationally resolved OH stretching vibrational spectrum of the cis and trans conformers in 2-fluorophenol has been observed by using CARS. The OH stretching frequency of the cis conformer is found to be 23 cm-1 smaller than that of the trans conformer, owing to the intra-molecular hydrogen bonding of the cis conformer.
