Abstract
Developed for x-ray diagnostics streak cameras with demountable photocathodes are described. Such type devices can be coupled through the photocathode flange of streak tube to the experimental vacuum chamber via gate valve or directly. Remarkable features of these cameras are demountable photocathode schemes. Important mechanical and performance specifications of the x-ray streak cameras including dynamic characteristics are presented. The main design considerations of our cameras are compactness, versatility, and reliability. Our camera usually consists of image converter tube, image intensifier and applied electronics. X-ray streak cameras are constructed usually on the basis of visible spectrum streak tubes modified. This paper reviews the evolution of various x- ray sensitive camera versions developed in General Physics Institute.
