Abstract
Satellite remote sensing is an efficient and economic measurement for earth observation which has become a major information resource. With the exponential increasing satellite information it is necessary to design and construct a stable and automatic operational data processing system suitable for different satellites to meet the requirement of marine application. This paper focused on design and construction of a satellite data processing system (SatDPS) for multi-satellites such as FY- 1 CID NOAAI 2/14/1 5/16/1 7 and EOSIMODIS (AQUA TERRA). According to software engineering principle an object-oriented program was designed and modeled. Furthermore some special data processing techniques have been developed including multi satellite combination processing programming collaboration of hardware and software Windows sockets mechanism embedded database and SQL etc. The system has been constructed and tested for half a year in Second Institute of Oceanography State Oceanic Administration which can automatically provide the remote sensing products for marine application such as sea surface temperature chlorophyll concentration suspended material concentration diffusing attenuation coefficient of 490 nm Secchi Disk depth vegetation index optical thickness and so on. The result shows that the constructed system is suitable to process multi-satellites for marine operational application.
