Abstract
In addition to the design of an optical system with high efficiency, one goal may be to reach homogeneity in illuminance and color distribution. There is a strong need of optical systems for color mixing due to the increasing use of sources of different color to reach good color rendering. The use and functionality of micro lens arrays (also known as fly's eye condensers), diffuser materials and setups based on multiple reflections are presented.
