Abstract
The wetland is one kind of very important ecosystem on the Earth. Lianyungang has a large amount of wetland which are decreased in area and ecosystem function in recent decades. The purpose of this paper is to extract wetland information and assess ecosystem health of coastal wetlands in Lianyungang. The TM images of 1987 and 2009 were used to extract wetland information through visual interpretation and supervised classification methods. And nine indexes were used to establish the evaluation system for the methods of single-factor and PSR (Pressure-State-Response) model used to evaluate wetland ecosystem health of Lianyungang. The results showed that: Coastal wetland of Lianyungang is decreasing in area, and has general level of wetland ecosystem health; Natural sate of wetlands has some change; External pressure is large. The ecological function has a certain degree of degradation, and the ecosystem can still maintain.
