Abstract
This paper presents selected problems from the general cycle of investigations concerning laser-matter interaction. These problems are investigations of generation and propagation of shockwave in transparent medium as well as acceleration of thin Al foils. The results of picosecond stroboscopic-differential diagnostic method and shadow diagnostic with the use streak-camera and dye laser as a source of backlighting, were presented. Considering the specifics of each individual experimental system, special attention was put on interpretation of the obtained and presented results. The influence of some parameters of a laser pulse and the used target on the process of laser-matter interaction, was illustrated.
