This erratum corrects an error in Eq. 39.

This article [J. Astron. Telesc. Instrum. Syst. 4(4), 049006 (2018), doi: 10.1117/1.JATIS.4.4.049006] was originally published online with an error in Eq. 39.

The equation originally appeared as

Pk|k=(IKkHk)Pk|k11.

The matrix inverse has been removed and now appears as

Pk|k=(IKkHk)Pk|k1.

All online versions of the article were corrected on 29 January 2019.
