Abstract
In order to explore the impact of automotive technology on the highway and railway freight transportation industry, firstly, the cost of highway freight transportation based on autonomous driving technology is analyzed. Secondly, from the perspective of market demand, the freight transportation demand is divided into time height sensitive, medium sensitive and insensitivity according to time sensitivity. Transportation costs, transportation time, reliability, convenience, safety and environmental protection are selected as index. The indicators are comprehensively empowered to build a comparative advantage model for railway and highway freight transportation based on automotive technology. The results show that in the time-sensitive and time-medium sensitive freight demand subject, highway transport based on autonomous driving technology has obvious advantages, but in the time-insensitive subject, its comparative advantage is not obvious. It proves that highway freight transportation based on automotive technology has considerable market prospects. This achievement has certain guiding significance for the commercialization of Automotive technology in the highway freight transportation industry, and can also provide reference for the optimization of future freight transportation structure in China.
