Profile Summary

Melissa C. LaDuke earned her PhD in curriculum and instruction from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Prior to that, Dr. LaDuke completed her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu, HI and Master’s degree in chemistry from University of Dayton, Dayton, OH.

She currently serves as a faculty member at National Intelligence University (NIU) in Bethesda, MD. She has been in the U.S. Air Force since 2005 and held instructor and faculty positions within the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Global School for Professional Military Education, and Squadron Officer School. In addition, she has spoken at numerous national and international conferences. Her research interests include adult education, teacher education, and online education.

Dr. LaDuke is a member of the Literary Research Association and International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Dr. LaDuke also chairs the Committee for Inclusion and Equity for the Association of American University Women and serves on the NIU Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Steering Committee.
