Parallel magnetic resonance imaging has emerged as an effective means to reduce scan time for high-speed MRI. We
made comparison on four different image reconstruction algorithms of SMASH, GRAPPA, SENSE and PILS in the
same imaging conditions including receiver coil array configuration, reduction factor and central lines. It is critical to
simulate and test which parallel imaging method provides optimum performance before implementing them on the
scanners. Results of reconstruction on raw data showed that SENSE and GRAPPA provide better image reconstruction.
And GRAPPA is the best choice in the case of increase of the reduction factor. SENSE and PILS which have no matter
with the central lines is the best choice in the case of decrease of the central lines. While PILS fails to reconstruct the
image in the case of the increase of reduction factor equal to the number of coils. But the cost of reconstruction time
based on SENSE algorithm is most efficient. Results in this paper can help us select the most optimal reconstruction
algorithm on the same imaging parameters.
