Profile Summary

Tyrone van Balla received a BSc (Eng) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cape Town in 2014. He joined SARAO in 2015 as an Electronics Engineer working on software and hardware for the MeerKAT Telescope’s Digital Backend. In 2017, he assumed the role of Systems Engineer for the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) group, and now serves as the Functional Manager for DSP, leading DSP-related activities across the MeerKAT, MeerKAT Extension and AVN Projects.
